Magnus & Wilhelm von Wright
Magnus von Wright (1805–1868) and Wilhelm von Wright (1810–1887) were Finnish artists and ornithologists celebrated for their exceptionally detailed studies of birds and other natural-history subjects.
Working closely together from the late 1820s, the brothers became important figures in Scandinavian ornithological illustration. Their work combined close scientific observation with a highly refined artistic approach, capturing plumage, posture, colour and individual character with remarkable precision.
