Captain Thomas Brown
Captain Thomas Brown (1785–1862) was a Scottish naturalist, ornithologist and illustrator known for his richly illustrated works on birds and other natural-history subjects. His publications included Illustrations of the American Ornithology and Illustrations of the Genera of Birds, combining descriptive natural history with finely produced hand-coloured engravings.
