Otto Eerelman

Otto Eerelman (1839–1926) was a Dutch painter and draughtsman best known for his highly accomplished depictions of animals, particularly dogs and horses. Born in Groningen, he developed a reputation for combining careful observation with a polished, expressive style. His work often captured the character and breed qualities of individual animals, while also reflecting the 19th-century fascination with sporting life and pedigree subjects.
