Botanicals by W.Curtis - Set of 9
A fine and extremely rare set of 9 botanicals from Flora Londinensis published in 1777 by William Curtis.
Only 300 copies of this book were issued.It described the flora found in London and surrounding area in the mid 18th century. The handcoloured copperplate engravings were by botanical artists such as James Sowerby, Sydenham Edwards and William Kilburn.
Presented in bespoke frames behind UV70 glass which cuts reflection and affords some protection from UV.
