Curtis Engravings - Set of 12 (can be split into 6s)
A fine and exceptionally well hand-coloured set of botanical plates from Curtis’s Botanical Magazine, dating from approximately 1794–1814 and based on drawings by Sydenham Edwards.
The plates are admired for their precise botanical detail, elegant composition and rich original colour, giving the group both strong decorative appeal and genuine historical interest.
Each work is presented in a bespoke natural bamboo frame with a complementary mount and UV70 glass, which helps reduce reflection and offers a degree of protection from the damaging effects of sunlight while allowing the colour and detail to remain vivid.
The full set comprises 12 works, although it can also be divided into sets of six or three. Please contact us for further details.
